On the 13th of October 2016 our IEEE UTH (Lamia) Student Βranch will take part in an event where the love for humanity and the act of selfless giving, which is volunteerism, are going to be merged for a great cause. The city of Lamia in collaboration with Wheeling2Help takes part in its great initiative the Wheeling2Help vol.2 with the view to raise money to obtain as many wheelchairs as possible and to give joy and happiness to people that need it the most. To do so, there will be stands placed across the 4 public squares where people of all ages can come and participate in various activities which schools, volunteering associations and our Student Branch will have organized, within the context of the Open T.I.S.P. program . During the event the participants will be asked to successfully overcome the Tall Tower Challenge and create the tallest tower that can support the weight of a golf ball.Apart from fulfilling yourself, being an active member of society, gives a great example to younger generations. So let us all be part of something great on Thursday and let’s set the standards for a better future, where love and giving without waiting for something in return will be common practice.
