The University of Ioannina student branch of IEEE and the Computer Science and Engineering department, invite you on Wednesday 21/12/2016 in 13:00, on the ground floor of the department (Seminar Room) to “light up” all together the Christmas tree, which isn’t just an ordinary tree. On the tree, apart from decorations, have been installed some Arduino platforms with motion detectors. These detectors will be used to control lighting and sound. All of the above were made true by the members of the student branch, in order to prove that there are alternative ways to “light up” a Christmas tree, which gives a different meaning to the term “light up”. We used open-hardware such as the arduino microcontroller and the code is published in out github account. More information about the event and images will be soon published in our facebook page.
