IEEE CS DUTh SBC organizes “Introduction to Internet of Things Protocols and Applications” Webinar, which will take place on Wednesday, December 9 at 18:00!

The speaker of the webinar is Mr. Sotirios K. Goudos, who is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In this webinar, it will be made a brief introduction to the IoT protocol stack. It will include physical-level IoT technologies, data link (RFID, IEEE 802.15.4 5, IEEE 802.11ah, Bluetooth low energy (BLE)), network-level (IPv6, 6LoWPAN), transport and application technologies (CoAP). In addition, there will be a brief introduction to long-range IoT technologies (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT). This will be followed by an overview of IoT applications with an emphasis on “smart farming” applications.
