For one more year the IEEE Greece Section participated at the Athens Science Festival, having its own exhibition booth.
Nowadays, scientific cooperation networks develop in interdisciplinary and transnational fashion, while large research facilities are raised off the ground to answer complex questions and solve human problems. Scientists from different disciplines, origins and nationalities come and work together without being interested in how they are limited as individuals as their only concern is to achieve their goals collectively. – http://www.athens-science-festival.gr
For one more year, all visitors had the great opportunity to meet and talk with some of the most active scientific and technological teams of Greece. From school students to researchers, where among them, the IEEE Greece Section representatives had the pleasure to share the IEEE vision and mission, and also the amazing work happening in Greece.
During the five days’ exhibition, the Vice-Chair of IEEE Greece Section Dr. Thanos Kakarountas, and the Chair of the Educational Activities of IEEE Greece Section Mr. Stamatis Dragoumanos, met and spoke with visitors of all ages. It was a nice surprise to have people visiting our booth in order to ask how they can become an IEEE member, from university students to professionals, who wanted to know more about the IEEE.
