Membership
development.
There
are many aspects of membership development that need to be mentioned
here.
If
you are in the field of Electrical Engineering, then IEEE membership
is a must. Many are the privileges that one can benefit from.
If you still don't know what IEEE is, learn all about it here.
If
you are already an IEEE member, then you can:
- Start
rectruiting new members. If you are a member of a faculty of electrical
engineering (or similar) you can help form a student branch or
Society Chapter, according to your research program. If you are
a student, you can search for colleagues with similar interests
and found a student branch in your region with the help of your
faculty members, and then open the road for others to join you,
learn, educate and be educated.
- Take
part in the activities. IEEE gives many opportuinities to expand
the knowledge beyond the limits of the academic programs. Educational
activities are among the most popular ones. Young engineers need
to learn more to get the experience that will help them in their
careers afterwards. Invited lectures, field trips, tutorials on
new technologies and technical seminars are examples of what you
can do.
If
you are not an IEEE member, take our tour and find out how to become
one with our step-by-step instructions.
- How
to find a membership application form and how to fill it out.
- What
are the Societies, and why should you be interested in them.
- Where
are the headquarters of IEEE.
- What
is the infrastructure of the IEEE (organisation, hierarchy).
- What
kind of organisation is it.
- How
can I contact the IEEE.
- Are
there any on-line services & resources for IEEE.
